He continued to look for it and at last found it in his back pocket. He began to apologize to the
fellow passenger for accusing him. "I am awfully sorry, I was mistaken," he said. But the passenger
said calmly, "It's all right. We were both mistaken. You thought I was a thief, and I thought you
were a gentleman."
